Fingers crossed, Suzi!
I'm so tired... we got in last night from CA at midnight and when we went out to the parking lot and tried to exit we discovered that the machines that take your ticket and payment weren't working. There were cars lined up, all stuck there until the police finally showed up (about 20 minutes into our wait) to raise the barriers. Then, instead of just waving all the angry drivers through because it's a problem with their machines and it's 1:30 a.m., they were making us all stop and sign our tickets.
I do not have especially good judgment at 1:30 a.m. and asked the cop why I was signing and he says, "so we know you were here." So I scribbled nonsense on the ticket and left, rather than discuss my 5th Amendment rights with the police.
In case you need to waste some time. Perfect for this time of year. Be warned, annoying music and short and annoying loop of comments for bad choices:

All of TMI girls:
I am so glad I am not the only person in the world who is all "Bathroom? Abbatoir!" once a month. I missed my period this month -- skipped, not preggo; I am as pristine as snow, goddammit -- so I am mortally afraid that next month, instead of a simple abbatoir, I will instead have an apartment that looks like the FX studio for "Saving Privates E-Ryan"
Being a girl is MAGICKAL!
I have skipped and skimmed and therefore have nothing more to offer than ((((Stephanie and Joe)))) and ((((buffistas of the fairer sex))))-along with chocolate and chamomile tea
Well bless.
I can't say the meeting was a waste of time, but as expected there wasn't much forward content in it regarding job ops. The manager I spoke with was very supportive and had a few broad ideas for job ideas and said he would keep me in mind. But, it was just networking.
Can't complain, but nothing to celebrate.
Oh guess what y'all! 1 hour before I head out of here to meet people to go to the Dandy Warhol's show! Yay!
I'm going to a show tonight, too! Seeing Tegan and Sara - yay!
And of course I had to screw up my yay. Mr. Jane just called. I kind of expressed some displeasure that he donated money to one of those environmental groups that aren't. He was trying to do good and I shat on it. I could almost hear his heart drop.
I. Suck.
Sorry there is nothing to celebrate, suzi.
But glad there's nothing to stress over.
OMG tired. Have review session now and then tutor from 5-6 and then fight my way home through rush hour (took me almoat two hours last week--I may just get dinner first) and then collapse. A lot.
Someone remind me about this next summer when I'm feeling guilty about having so much time off.
