Spike: Taking up smoking, are you? Harmony: I am a villain, Spike. Hello!

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

OMG...people are idiots.

I just got an e-mail which included the word "Dido". It took me a bit to figure out she meant "Ditto". Oy.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If that passed Spellcheck, I'm impressed with the literacy of the software, at least.

Oh Stephanie! {{{{{{S&J}}}}}} How scary for you, and please listen to everyone else—you had no way to know. I’m glad things are looking better, but please keep us posted. Hang in there, love. We've got your back.

Aimee, WOW. That’s some mighty fine talent you got there. Gorgeous costume!

Yay cancelled class for vw and not-so-painful meeting for GC!

Woot! I was thinking that when you are not buried you need to collect lists of possible comments to have them handy. List of both phrases and individual cool descriptors. Then when you sit down you can have a resource.

I have a lot of lists and such, but the problem is that we are strongly encouraged not to use them. The kids (and parents) compare comments, so it’s really important that they don’t sound too much alike. Ah well. At least I only have to write them twice a year instead of three times now…and never after finals anymore. Bonus!

As for me, I ran around like a Buffista on pixie sticks this morning and finished planning/copying the final Bible packet for this unit, printing out and putting progress reports in my students' boxes, giving two make-up quizzes, and reviewing an essay with a student.

Right this second...for the next 30 minutes or so...I may goof off. Probably not, though. I'm sure I'm going to remember something I'm supposed to be doing any second now.

Oh crap. I just remembered the other thing I need to do.

Gulp.

Our program team at work is having our annual review tomorrow. Normally I just get pulled in if there is anything financial and this time I haven't even been sent the agenda, so I thought I was off the hook. I just found out that one of the agenda items is "Suzi's transition". To what? I mean, I have been trying to find something else, but do they have something for me? Or are they just planning on me leaving and don't have something for me?

I'm meeting with a couple of folks from the review team at 2pm to discuss - I'm both terrified and excited.

Yes, Suzi, hope this is good news ... although it'd be nice if they told you first.
