The Halloween Disneyland pictures are fantastic! How fun.
Maybe the skritching noise is from on top of your roof, not the attic? That would be nice. My parents have had good luck with strobe lights keeping squirrels away.

We get raccoons and squirrels running around our roof fairly often. Raccoons are BIG and can make a pretty good racket on a roof.

It was definitely in the attic, not on the roof. It was scratching the ceiling directly above my head.
It's quiet now. Too quiet.
Maybe if you ignore it it'll go away.Since I don't have a ladder and can't reach the access panel in the guest room closet, that is exactly what I'm going to do.
