A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, her mom and stepdad will raise her. But I have a visceral dislike of the plan to not acknowledge that bad outcome and then it won't happen that Steve seemed to be working under, so I am essentially with you. Move to safety, dude.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But he never seems to trust them enough. Having someone on his team being part of her life seemed important. And the fact that she has a married mother makes it even less likely that she'd be exposed to more Danno.

Hey, if I'm childless and alone and your mother won't desecrate my grave, hold hands with me while I explode. But if I need you to do something for me if I die, ignoring me isn't a cute sign of your devotion. It's more like not taking me seriously, because I figure I'll be highly irritable in a situation like that.

Watching NCIS made me realise--I'm going to move Hart of Dixie up above it in priority. The relationships on NCIS: Venice Beach make more sense to me. I'm totally down with "I berate because I love" in both life and fiction, but that show is just giving me whiplash. I don't get undercurrents or overtones or anything, just Stop. Sentiment. Stop. Smacktalk. Pause...and feel. Right, back to action. Transitions, not so much.

And Gibbs ceased to be a character a while back. Just a good looking guy acting out a series of improbable tics at this time. So, when Scooter isn't talking in the third person, I'll check in and see if Tony decides it's okay to act like a grownup where more than one person can see him yet.

Nobody hold hands with me while I explode. Go stand somewhere safer and live to remember me, whether I have kids or not. Sing songs of my unflinching bravery, etc.

Mostly, of course, let the guy in the protective suit cut the right wire.

Seriously--let's not talk over him. Let's give him some quiet so he can focus. I'm going to meditate on my life so far and my choices for the next fifteen minutes, mmkay? If I think of anything good, I'll tweet it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Criminal Minds: Wow, Meshach Taylor. I haven't seen him in anything in ages, and I almost didn't recognize him.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Dang, Keith Szarabajka is on Elementary. I didn't even recognize him until he spoke, but there's no mistaking that voice.
