Me either. I think maybe that they implied a brain tumor or something? Hmm, can't recall.

Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
If you watched the show on your TV and it came from the network people, don't whitefont it. You're good.
Also, I watched Raines and loved it.
I don't know how I missed this in Vortex's post. D'oh!
No worries! Is this where we talk about Scandal? It's kind of a procedural. I just finished watching the season finale on my TiVo and have some thoughts.
I think it was in Natter, but put your thoughts here. I have been waiting for you to finish the show. Discuss.
Okay, first of all, I find it hard to believe that Billy would have been in Cyrus' inner circle (i.e. enough to know about Amanda) since the Prez and VP had such an adversarial relationship, not just in the campaign.
Second, I hated Quinn from the beginning. I understand that the new employee is used as an exposition device, so her constant questions were understandable, but she didn't have to be so whiny and annoying. From the very beginning, I could not (and still do not) see what she brings to the table.
Third, I hate it when supposedly smart characters do stupid shit, like Quinn falling for a reporter. Not only was he still investigating Amanda Tanner, but there would certainly be future events or clients that he would want inside information on. And even if that werent the case, if there was some huge secret in her past, why would she risk it by getting involved with a reporter.
I also was not happy with Quinn's reaction to the murder. Yes, it was an ordinary reaction, but you would expect that people who worked for Olivia Pope would be made of sterner stuff.
Fourth, DA guy running her prints himself doesn't keep it a secret. If there are flags on her other identity or prints, they're going to pop regardless of who runs the search.
Fifth, I really liked the scene with Olivia and the First Lady when she accused Olivia of not doing her job. That woman is ruthless. We're not supposed to like her, but her motivation is clear and you know what you're going to get from her. Olivia deserved to be called out when she walked in there with her condescending attitude. Although, they used the baby thing before during the campaign, I don't think that it really needed to be done again, and there's an unnecessary risk if getting pregnant doesn't work out.
Finally, nice work Shonda ending the series on a cliffhanger like that :)
Yes, I am pretty over Quinn. I don't mind ingénue characters (as you said), but she was so fucking over the top. She almost can't take cues from her surroundings, which makes me wonder WTF is in her background? Is she a victim of a crime or a perp?
I'm not fucking with that first lady, but I just about died when I found out she had an affair as well.
Did she actually have the affair, or was she just accused of it since she was working on the project with the guy?
I thought she did!
