Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Are we supposed to take from the ending of H50 that Steve was right about Danny's parenting?

What's Dr. Asano's ethnic background?

Thrive to spite them

I wasn't entirely thrilled with these episodes. There were some things I liked but over all it felt too.. over the top or something for Castle.

I noticed Beckett was back to call Esposito "Javi" rather than "Espo".

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Just in case anyone here still watches and likes The Mentalist, here is a review of "War of the Roses" [link] to which I contributed a bit.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, I still watch "The Mentalist", but I am not sure I still like it.

But I will read the review!

Not liking the show may cause you to think the review and its writers are off their rockers.

ETA: in my case, of course, that is not exactly new news.

ETA2: Thanks for reading it.

Art Crawl!!!

I enjoyed it. I have to admit that I don't think that deeply about the Mentalist at all.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

There is racing on instead of House tonight. Does anyone have any idea if they are running this weeks episode later?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Unknown at this time according to all the web sites I've checked. Daytona 500 got rained out yesterday so this is the make up airing. Sadly, my DVR doesn't know any alternate showings.

Alcatraz also looks to be frelled for tonight as well.

Yeah, tivo doesn't list episode 8 as upcoming at all.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I haven't paid enough attention to notice if it happens every episode, but in the episodes where it does happen, the beat of "Castle goes home, acts normal, something his family does tangentially breaks the case" is really obvious when it does.

I'm like, I'm not sure how tying a bow is going to...oh, okay, yeah, I can see how this might....yup, there we go.

And it's a very familiar feeling.
