wrod. On the Wire, he was in a scene with the retired cop-turned actor his character was based on...Jay Landsman(Who was Mello on The Wire and not to be confused with the Wire*character* Jay Landsman.) I suspect Simon has a man-crush on Detective Landsman, what can I say? Except "Holy fuckin' meta, Batman!" And, among Wirefiends of long standing, that moment was like when Giles came back in Buffy season 6...my lj was all "MUNCH!"
Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
Mini-Wolfram and Hart reunion on H50 tonight.
The Castle sneak peek makes me laugh. [link]
Castle was fluffy fun.
It was indeed. And I love how much fun he gets out of it.
Seamus Dever and his wife were cute on twitter last night, too. He was live tweeting and she was posting behind-the-scenes photos from the ep, plus one from their actual wedding. [link]
I think one of the things I enjoy about Castle is how they can incorporate the characters' personal lives without having them take over the episode. Last night there was all the wedding preparation and so on, but they were still working on solving the case (although occasionally distracted).

I loved how Ryan was far more distracted/bothered by his lack of real food than by anything wedding related, including his fiancee's past.
I loved that they resolved it with "Um , it's not like we were exclusive. Is that Mongolian beef?" and that he and Jenny had already talked about it, no big. LOVED.
And I'm sorry, but "It's a numbers game. I strike out 90% of the time," cracked me up in response to Beckett's, "Seriously?"
I was waiting for the big pre-wedding blowup to be Ryan cheating on the diet, not about sleeping with the skeezy guy. But I love that there was no drama, just two people super excited to get married.
I agree about the genius integration of the characters' personal stories. This one yet again made me want to smish Ryan and Esposito.
(have they been calling him "Espo" a lot before and I just didn't notice?)
