"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

When you see Fredric Lane in the credits - you've got to know that he isn't going to be an ordinary dad.

absolutely. I kept thinking 'he seems off', but didn't know if it was the yellow eyed demon prejudice.

(I guessed witness protection pretty early on.)

as soon as I saw the gun on the other guy, I knew.

How much did I love "tomorrow"

And, I think that the daughter was played by Joe Mantenga's daughter (or maybe granddaughter)

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I was waiting for a suspect with pica to show up for at least 15 minutes. I'd not heard "eating dirt" as a euphemism for dead before!

He wasn't the dead guy. He was the mushroom guy. (Watched it again last night to show Mr. Jane)

I did not like the FBI chick. Would they really let someone that unstable back on the job?

I think that was Joe Mantegna's daughter. Did you get the feeling that the whole scenario was going to be reenacted in Atlanta? Because I did.

I think that was the point of the bit at the end when they met the other guy and his daughter.

I didn't get that impression. It seemed to me that they were just showing us that the father completely got away with it because of his testimony.

Finally I am remembering to mention this: my Tivo tells me that Life will be airing one episode, and of course I don't remember the date. (Also, "Life" or "Life TV" are not easily Googlible [Googlable?] terms.) I want to say Jan. 19, but, not sure. (17th maybe?) No computer at home so I can't check and report back, sorry. I hope it's the pilot, because I missed it!

TV guide says not airing in the next 14 days - so not the 19th or the 17th.

I missed Monk but caught Psych - and it made me laugh until it hurt. Loved it.

It was gone when I checked my Tivo again on Friday night. Dunno what the deal was. Drat. I really hope they do broadcast reruns.
