Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That was a good episode of Castle. There was a moment with Castle talking down one of the hostages that made me say, "Oh hello, Mal." The explosion caught me off guard just because it happened so early in the episode.

Anybody recognize Barry Livingston from My Three Sons in tonight's Castle episode?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I had a feeling that the guy was in on it. But, then he had the seizure, and I thought, oh, I called that one wrong. But I was RIGHT.

I didn't like the Beckett as EMT part -- first of all, since she was the Voice On the Phone, wasn't there the possibility that one of the bad guys would recognize her voice once she was in the bank? Secondly, once she was in there pretty much all she did was cast concerned looks at Castle. She didn't do much for the patient other than pat his hand and tell him that people cared about him. She didn't really pretend to do anything that would have looked "medical" (she could have at the very least gone over his chest with a stethoscope - it would have looked medical, anyway, or put an oxygen mask on the guy, or something. And then even as he was being wheeled out, she was still turning around to stare longingly back at Castle again. We've seen her be better at undercover work before.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, I was expecting it to be Esposito walking through that door, not Beckett.

Still, really enjoyable ep.

I thought that one hostage looked vaguely familiar! But it took me a few hours to recognize the head hostage cop--he was the cop in the CM episode with the tattooed unsub.

I really liked this week's ep--well done, except for having Beckett pose as the EMT. They could have had Esposito do it and still be able to have him recognize Grand-Mal guy as the son-in-law of the dead woman when his photo came through.

ETA: Looking forward to next week! All three boys go on a road trip; lots of possibilities.

But if it wasn't Beckett, then she couldn't have meaningfully grabbed Castle's hand and heartwrenchingly told him that she would get him out!

signed, just kiss him already, girl!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She didn't do much for the patient other than pat his hand and tell him that people cared about him

She didn't do that. It was Castle's hand, and I read it as her telling him that Alexis was outside.

I know, right?!

I loved the look on her face at the beginning when he said, "Tell me you need me." I half expected them to bookend the show with Beckett saying to him, "I do, you know. Need you."

I rewatched Demons last night because it seemed appropriate for Halloween. Between the two episodes, I noticed that the Canada in Nathan and Stana comes out when they say the word "odd". I never seem to notice it with any other word.

Well that's ever so much more useful to the patient then.
