Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, nice "back door pilot". I couldn't stand the terrible accent on the woman, but other than that I didn't hate it. But then, Michael Clarke Duncan goes a long way.

I enjoyed it-- a couple minutes into the ep I recognized that it was Saffron Burrows, who played the ambitious friend who has the affair with Colin Firth's character in Circle of Friends.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think that she's actually british, but that australian accent was dreadful.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I'm not an accent expert by any means, but all I kept thinking was "fake accent! fake accent!" throughout the episode.

As soon as we hit the 20-minute stretch where we saw neither hide nor hair of Booth or Brennan I kind of stopped paying attention anyway. If they were going to give us a different show they should have been honest about it and not called it "Bones."

Still not as bad as Matt Frewer's on Eureka (what the hell are they thinking), but not something I'd bring into a new series unless it's going to turn out to be phony on purpose.

She is, but you're right about how wretched the accent was. I couldn't even tell it was meant to be Aussie. She should've gone back to Irish-- she did that reasonably well.

Art Crawl!!!

Did she stop using the accent somewhere in the middle?

It was . . . weird.

I wish that they had integrated the Bones crew and the new crew together more.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, as much as most people hated "The Fight" episode of CM, it at least did a good job meshing the two crews, so you had a member of original flavor along with one of the SB group.

Whee! New Castle tonight. It feels like it's been forever.

The Ryan and Esposito actors were hilarious. Beckett's reaction to them even more so.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

did anyone catch L&O:LA last week? (I didn't watch it when it aired, so I don't know when it came on the tv).

I was pretty disturbed by the circumstances of the murderer's crime, that her mother put her two daughters in foster care decades ago and then when the mother exited the hospital, she only picked up one of the daughters.

I don't know much about the foster care system, but is it realistic that someone would not take both children if you are going to pick them up from foster care? If you have 10 kids, I get that, but why not take both?
