I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything, but he'd get it.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I liked it and will probably continue watching it. Every time I see Dana Delany, it just makes me sad that China Beach isn't out on DVD though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's keeping it off DVD?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Dear Criminal Minds: Still too much unsub. We don't care about them.

p.s. - Frankie Muniz' hallucinations were better.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Dear Criminal Minds: Still too much unsub. We don't care about them.

I agree.

I'm sure that some idiot producer said "we need to switch it up, concentrate on the unsubs, they're bored with just seeing the team all of the time. They liked the Alex O'Laughlin ep and the Frankie Muniz ep, so let's do more of that!"

Jackhole, we liked it because it was different.

“Not dead yet!”

Well, and with all these new writers, having to write more for the team means actual, yanno, continuity and growth in the character arc.

Although I will say in terms of concentrating on the unsubs, last night's bothered me far less than some of the others this season.

True, there was a good reason to see it from the unsub's point of view, unlike most of the time. If we were back to our regular style, I would have really liked this ep.

Some good interaction with Morgan and Garcia and Morgan and Reid.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Dear Criminal Minds: Still too much unsub. We don't care about them.

Oh, so much this. The spin-off is doing it, too.

However, they did use one of my favorite young character actors as one of the hallucinations, so that was okay (the one with the lighter was played by a guy I always like--his most memorable role for me was as one of the baseball team kids in Dennis Quaid's The Rookie).

I really liked Morgan and Reid's conversation in the bathroom. Nicely written and performed, and I loved Reid's using as one of the signs of him "losing it" the fact that he'd only read five books that week. That was very much in character.
