But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

"what's left when you take biology and sociology out of the picture?" "An autistic hermaphodite." -Allyson

You're not alone. I'm giving it another couple of eps, see if it starts to get less weak-sauce, but then I'm gone. My wife's already dropped it; she's got much less patience than I do.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I watched The Mentalist tonight - and aside from the observation that I could be quite content listening to Simon Baker reading the phone book, the thing that strikes me is that Malcolm McDowell must get tired of playing creepy-ass sociopaths.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The Bones ep where Booth proposes has now been shown in Australia. Booth was... a bit of a jerk at the end of that ep, wasn't he?

Yes! What sort of a salary is he on, that he can afford to do that?

“Not dead yet!”

I am torn about it. I think I'll put it on the tivo, and watch it if I feel like it.

I'm kind of there, too-- I sensed a definite shift in last night's ep. Cooper wasn't mumbling as much and they showed them actually interacting with the local authorities and utilizing their facilities rather than setting up in some abandoned crack house.

Plus next week's ep looks as if it might focus on a character other than Cooper, so perhaps there's hope. (Yes, I'm being Pollyannaish, probably because of the Original Recipe suckitude.)

Ain't about the money. I know a guy that did that when he was a full time university student (not from a wealthy family). Not quite the same situation, as the girl in question actually accepted his proposal then cheated on him, and when he got the ring back from her, flung it into a quarry. And yeah, Booth was being a bit of an ass to Brennan.

Little bit. but wounded animals strike out at what's nearest to them, Brennan would have appreciated that.

And it's been pretty well established that Booth is very much an all or nothing guy. When he's in, he's all in and he expects the same in return.

I think that's going to be the neat thing about this next evolution in his relationship with Brennan. He declared his love to her, had it rebuffed, and resolutely moved on, shutting that door behind himself. Not even her realization of her feelings was enough to make him turn away from the path he'd chosen. He's not one who's accustomed to going back and revisiting his past, but this season, in many ways, has been building to that. He's revisiting his past as a sniper and the man he was then; he's going to be revisiting his relationship and feelings about Brennan at some point. It's really nifty character development stuff.

Yeah, but anyone with a brain would have known that Hannah was not all in. In for the moment, yes, but not all in.
