I think you are right, zk. Firefly has that same idea, and I think the zeitgeist was against it at that time. Now, with the conservatives in the "anti-government" camp, the idea is more braodly appealing.

Oh, holy crap. Do we think Wo Fat replaced the money?

Also, Kono attempting to teach Danny surfing basics was darling, especially when one considers that Scott Caan's actually quite an accomplished surfer IRL.

As usual, the McGarrett and Danny show was worth the price of admission.
