I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Her character and JJ's are nothing alike.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just realized that many of the weird little moments in this latest CM were consequences of the team still not having a full-time liaison - the one guy being miffed that they were doing their own background checks, not getting all the files to start with, even Seaver returning the laptop. It's not a big thing, but it does make me appreciate the writing.

And it's nice to know the writers are on AJ's side, you know? Willing to write in snarky shit about her departure, and show the impact of not having a JJ around.

Fecking network execs and their fecking shit.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I didn't last long enough to learn anything about her personality. So yes, if she hadn't been an athletic blonde I would probably have lasted long enough to recognize she was altogether different.

I just couldn't get past the physical resemblance. It wasn't rational.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I almost thought that Micah was a figment of Bones' imagination.

I was bugged that this was a character we've never seen before who Tempe seemed to have known for a while. However, my love of Enrico, and his character, who I thought was great, overwhelmed my annoyance, and I'm hoping they might make him a semi-regular.

Almost to the point, given how much they get along and have the same vibe, that I could see the two of them hooking up.

Don't mess with Flashpoint! He's much cooler than that.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

So, I'm watching The Closer, and the second I saw that actor who played the partner, I just knew that he was involved. He's always the grieving husband, or the partner or whatever and he's always busted.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, except on Strange World when he was the protagonist.

H50 - Mick St. John vs. Spike! That was great. And Wo Fat!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I've been watching Season 1 of Damages on Netflix. Very twisty! I only saw a couple of episodes during the run and was always very confused. I'm really enjoying it this time, learning all the little details that I missed before.

I seem to remember that the actress playing Ellen was not popular here. I'm not having much of a problem with her myself.
