I had subtitles. Which was good because I was squeeing and making incoherent sounds that all roughly translated to, "Oh, MAL!"

This entire week while my DH is away I have been mainlining CM repeats. Loving it and MGG is so totes adorbs.

Friday, both A&E and Ion are having all-day marathons (Ion's starts mid-afternoon, but that's early for them).

There is also a Law and Order UK marathon on Friday.

Speaking of L&O:UK, I was pleased to see them following up with what happened to Alesha in last week's ep this week. And that they're having it be Matt who's keeping an eye on her--very sweet.

Last night CBS late night showed the first half of the CM Fisher King episode and I noticed that Hotch got to smile and laugh (he was on vacation). It was a nice change - he's good looking, and the happy look made him more so.

I'm thinking that the last time we really saw him laughing was in season 4's "The Instincts," which ended with the happy montage of the team (sans Reid) sitting around the table at the sushi restaurant, talking and laughing, the parents of the kidnapped kid bringing him home, the unsub relatively at peace in holding, and Reid asleep in his mom's room, dreaming again.

But even his grim face has changed since season 1. Ever since "100," he looks absolutely funereal when he looks grim, whereas before, he just looked intimidating.

I just finished watching my S3 CM dvds, and I liked how they really subtly portrayed Hotch's deterioration throughout most of the season. From the second ep, when Haley leaves him, through "Damaged," when he comes so close to having his personal issues turn into an physical altercation with a convicted serial killer before finally signing the divorce papers, he's slowly losing it, and it's never made fully obvious to viewers who aren't paying attention. He keeps telling the rest of the team to "focus," when he's the one who is distracted. His always-immaculate suit is slightly rumpled, with the tie askew and the shirt collar not quite as crisply ironed. His hair occasionally has the cowlick from S1. Just little hints that he's not the man he was before.

Last night's H50: I really liked it! I thought it was one of the better eps they've done so far. Not too much McDanno but enough to keep my interest, DDK actually got a few things to do, an interesting, suspenseful crime, and some nice backstory for Danny with Rachel, which Scott Caan really nailed, as usual.

He's this show's big discovery for me--I don't remember seeing him in anything other than Oceans Eleven, and he's the main reason I'm still watching this show.
