Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

A rather nice article by Alan Sepinwall praising Life; it refers to tonight's ep briefly but not in any kind of concrete spoilery fashion.

He starts the review with "I'm getting attached to this show" x3. Shouldn't it be "I'm not attached to this show?"

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Not if he's trying to CANDYMAN the show so it suddenly appears.

Ha! I think Sepinwall's referring to a particular moment in the pilot, in which Charlie's mantra was "I'm not attached to this car. I'm not attached to this car" x repeat ad nauseum while he was totally in lust with his snazzy muscle car (which then gets destroyed by a tractor in a spot of a spectacularly inept driving by Ted.)

Thrive to spite them

I'm finally catching up on Life and so far I really like the "15 lbs of bunny" line and "I'm not talking to a dead body, I'm talking to myself."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just watched Bones, finally, and clearly we got the reaction/follow up to the kiss outtake posted above, not the kiss they actually showed. Weird.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Was the Bones last night a rerun? according to Tivo it was new, but then the tivo didn't change the channel, so I'm not sure.

Medium's Season 4 premiere is 1/20/08.

eta:

[link] Article from Film dot com about Life, Bionic Woman, Journeyman, and Chuck.

Unlike Chuck, which built from a highly touted pilot, Life has caught on via word of mouth, and a very vocal and passionate online fanbase that has been begging critics to speak out in its favor. As time has gone on, Life has begun to remind me a bit of the late, great Homicide: Life on the Street, with its creative use of music and its odd bits of seemingly random dialogue. Crews and his partner Dani Reese (Sarah Shahi) invert the usual stereotype: the older man comes across as eccentric and often unserious; the younger woman is cynical and quiet. With all the procedurals around (one of which, CSI: NY, is the main competition for Life), there's a place for a character-based cop show that's aimed a little higher intellectually than Women's Murder Club.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Thanks for the info about Medium. For some strange reason, I absolutely LOVE Medium. I hated the premise, got caught up on Lifetime and now I'm hooked.
