Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Always Anti-fascist!

Bayliss was too, everyone jokes about how well-prepared he would be "if terrorists attack Baltimore" Baltimore has a Quick Response Team instead of SWAT, though

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Is anyone here watching L&O: UK? I caught one and a half episodes last night. It's nice to see Freema Agyeman again, and Jamie Bamber continues to be very pretty. L&O Original Flavor was sort of comfort TV for me, and I could see this taking its place.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Is anyone here watching L&O: UK?

I am! Comfort TV is a good description. I'm enjoying it, without feeling much investment in characters or plot, which is relaxing for a change.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've got the second ep on my dvr, waiting for me to watch it (probably tonight). I liked the first ep, even though the accents were a bit thicker than I was used to. I've watched a lot of Brit TV, so I was surprised when I had to turn on the CC for a few minutes of dialogue.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm liking L&O UK. It's also kind of nice because they are all brit revamps of original L&O stories, so there's a little nostalgia there.

I miss Lennie. But on the other hand, Bamber.

Wikipedia's entry (with tons of spoilers) includes links to the original US episodes. [link]

Always Anti-fascist!

It was never the same for me without Lennie.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Noth leaving was a big void for me. I missed him a lot.

How about before Lennie?

I got into L&O well after its Lennie-fication. And they don't show many pre-Lennie reruns. So for me L&O's pretty much with-Lennie and post-Lennie.

Lennie has lost all meaning.
