Last night, Ion had "The Angelmaker," which I was surprised to realize (after rewatching for the first time in a while) was a good example of an all-team quality episode. It had an interesting case (copycat killing women a year after the serial killer was executed), some interesting locals (I like the ME and the creepy prison guard was fun to watch), and nice little moment for almost the entire cast.
Hotch is still recovering from the car bomb in "Mayhem," yet in his Hotch-ly way, insists on getting back into the field way too early. Morgan interviews the guard and then rescues the last targeted victim at the end. Garcia tracks down the serial killer memorabilia ("This portion of the Garcia show is brought to you by the letter 'i' for 'icky!'") and then narrows down the unsub via birth records ("Oh, your baby daddy is a 3rd grade teacher? Well, mine poked people in the stomach with a screwdriver!"). Prentiss tosses the guard's place, finding the Viagra, and then talks to the unsub to distract her while Morgan saves her last victim. JJ doesn't have too much to do here, but Rossi's author side is offended by the badly written letters from the killer to the unsub, which makes Reid realize there's a code. ("What do you need to crack it?" "The ability to clone myself and a year's supply of Adderol?" "I'll put on the coffee.") And, of course, Reid does crack it. ("It was just easier to do it longhand." [Prentiss touches his cheek in mock-fascination.] "He's so lifelike!") He even gets to drive at the end ("Sweet!").
A fun episode, all around. They tend to do that in the beginning of the season--I hope that, once JJ is gone (sob!!), they'll give us at least one of these quality team eps again.
Yeah, I think this is why S4 is just one of my favorite all-around seasons. There were a lot of good eps, back to back like that-- because directly after Angelmaker came Miminal Loss, which was a good feature ep for Prentiss and Reid and of course, one of the best baddie guest stars in Luke Perry.
I think it was probably the one season in which they allowed the most humor to surface, which I think is important, because it's those moments of levity and black humor really balance out the dark.
We were at a furniture store in Burbank yesterday and I am about 99% sure I saw Shemar Moore in there. If it wasn't him, it was another scarily handsome guy who might be his long-lost twin.
They do a good job with having a nice contrast between the three younger guys on CM. Shemar is just stunningly attractive, Thomas Gibson has classic Hollywood Leading Man looks, and MGG (even though he's the only one of the three who was an actual model) is the quirkiest of the group. It took me several episodes before I finally realized that he was a good-looking guy--all that hair and geeky quirkiness distracted me from the bone structure.
Paget's bone structure is phenomenal. I could look at her face all day.
And TG? Well, he's the kind of guy I've always been attracted to. Dark hair, dark eyes, character in the face.
Joe Mantegna is a phenomenally good looking man in person. We worked together in DC on an annual event for one of my previous employers, and I'd have to stop myself from sighing out loud. Shorter than I expected though.
Shemar Moore was a model too. That was not going to waste.
He had to stop modeling because his thighs and ass were too muscular, he wasn't fitting into the clothes. It would have been okay with me if he didn't want to wear pants.

CM is like a cornucopia of manly hotness. My cup, it overflows. And the women are not only good-looking, they're smart. Too bad there's idiots in charge of the network and studio.
