we just need more women who aren't cast because they're "hot"
It's just that...Gina Torres is hot. Stana Katic is hot. paget Brewster is hot. Why can't they find women with presence and acting ability too? I mean, if hot is going to be a requirement. Whatsername from new CM is a lump of plastic.
I have a hard enough time keeping everyone straight without all that.
I believe the guest star on tonight's The Mentalist was also a guest star the most recent Castle. I saw a promo and was all, deja vu.
Stana Katic is hot.
in all fairness, I seem to recall a lot of us hating her in the beginning. Or was that just me?
She had terrible hair! And was a bit wooden.
I think she's definitely gotten better with time. But I never hated her.
I never got the bad hair thing, but I'm beginning to think I
never
get the bad hair thing. Kane, Padalecki, Katic. I just don't see it.
Robin Tunney I don't get. I don't think she's bad-assed, I don't think she's hot, I don't think she's nuanced (not every day--I think she's had moments). And I have issues with her character (I guess I have issues with everyone
except
Jane--I just don't get why everyone else tolerates him, but I think it makes sense for
him
to be him).
I think she's definitely gotten better with time. But I never hated her.
What ita said. Plus, it looked like she was going to be stuck playing straight "man" to NF, fending him off, etc., and now she gives as well as she gets. Plus she doesn't see him as just a nuisnance (sp?).
Hey, I just thought of something. Last night, they were referring to Strauss as the Director. I thought that she was section chief?
Robin Tunney I don't get.
I haven't seen her other stuff, but I thought she was awful in Prison Break. Awful enough to avoid watching other shows with her it them.
But she was awesome in Encino Man!
I like Lisbon better now than I did at the start, she's loosened up some and gained a personality; but she still goes too easy on Jane. I can't figure out why, either, she's written as being tough, but with Jane she doesn't seem to know what to DO with him. I agree with her new supervisor, except for the part about firing her, except I'd bet that's just meant to light a fire under both of them.
