Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

void of emotions

That's what I'm trying to put my finger on - if Jane were devoid of emotion/human connection, he wouldn't be so shattered by the loss of his family, would he?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think he's operating in a void because he's shattered. Hmm.

Let me think on it a bit more.

A void of emotional connections is more like it. I think that an arc for him is the developing of connections to the team, perhaps even shippy ones with Lisbon, but right now he sees other people like chess pieces, and even when he regards their emotions with interest, it's not with great empathy.

Gah. I'm reading now that they're going to flip The Mentalist to 9 for a couple episodes. I'm sorry I said anything. I'm so multiply booked in that hour. It's the traffic jam of my week.

No matter how much G compliments Sam's looks, they're just not as organically hoyay as, say, White Collar.

That near-kiss on NCIS proper is disgusting. She's a harridan.

NCIS cheated us out of changing scenes--Leverage did us good.

I like the actress just fine (you'll always be Lois to me, Rena Sofer!), and I kind of enjoy hating her character right now, but I'm not down with her being a love interest. I hope they're not actually going there.

I'm hoping Gibbs knows that someone thinks he'll fall for the tough, in-your-face woman and can therefore be manipulated, and is doing some manipulating back. I don't think he's above doing that if he thinks he's dealing with the equivalent of an enemy agent.

The Gibbs I've seen over the years would not overlook a threat just because she's (kind of) pretty.
