They were talking about Bowie, Maryland, not the knife or guy. I want to say it was Emily.
She's fairly new to the region. I think she moved to Virginia when she joined the BAU.
She's been there for three years. That's plenty of time. I mean, I lived in DC for four years, ten years ago, and I know how to say it!
When you live here, you hear that name a lot, it's a major landmark around here. The show made a mistake, I highly doubt that it was supposed to be a deliberate mispronunciation for Emily to show her unfamiliarity with the area.
Just trying to think up possible reasons. The meta is no doubt that it's filmed in LA and who knows where Paget is from.
I watched 100 again (ow) and I still don't see the Strauss turnaround. There's been nothing to indicate she's skilled enough to be artfully playing each member of the team the way some TWOPpers were saying, although she is mostly nice to Garcia.
It's possible that she wanted to leave no room for interpreting her investigation as lax, but given her history with Hotch who would believe she'd go easy on him?
She's still markedly hostile to him during the penultimate interview with Morgan, but all sympathy to his face.
I got whiplash from watching the Strauss about-face. It didn't make much sense. I don't know what we were supposed to think was going on. I'm just glad that it seems like Hotch will not be in trouble for killing Foyet with his bare hands. I wonder what they'll do with Jack; Hotch can't raise him alone unless he leaves the BAU, and I've heard nothing to indicate that Gibson is leaving. Maybe Haley's sister will take guardianship of him. I really didn't think they'd kill off Haley, for that very reason.
Who else thinks Hotch has never slept with anyone but Haley? raises hand Man needs some nookie, bad.
Can someone explain how hiding in a box is helping Daddy work the case, even in a little kid's imagination?
The look of open shock on Morgan's face when Hotch said he stepped down to fuck with Foyet's mind portends some tension between those two, regardless of who leads the team from now on.
Hotch has loved Haley since high school, so yeah maybe she was his only.
On rewatch, I didn't get as bad a vibe off Morgan's look at Hotch when Hotch said why he stood down. More resolve-face than anything, IIRC. Not as much surprise as I'd originally thought.
When I can bear to rewatch, I'll see if I get a different vibe from Morgan. Hope so.
A handsome male lead character on a popular tv show who's (possibly) only ever been with one woman... wow. Hotch is like a mythical beastie. It's like finding a unicorn in the parking garage.
A recent episode of The Mentalist had both Vincent Ventresca (love him, but the orange "tan" was bad) and the actress who played Haley. It was weird seeing her again so soon! She's a good actor; she has a distinctive, very expressive face. (I wondered why that should seem exceptional in an actress, and then I thought, "Oh. No Botox.".)
