if LT was a follower of the minor league baseball teams
I just assumed someone in the group said "what frelling teams belong to these?" and they then did a quick search on the net to find out. I mean, I pay attention to minor league baseball, but the only minor league caps I can recognize at a glance are the PawSox and the Durham Bulls.
Apparently Life actually managed to pick up 11% more viewers than Bionic Woman last night. I think that's good news. I hope it's good news. NO TAKING AWAY MY SHOW.
I'm starting to get the shakes and feeling a little nausea thinking about the possibility that Life will disappear after the scripts run out. This is the first time mention of ratings hasn't filled me with trepidation.
Did they ever say why it was that Farthingale needed to have two secret identies to track down the bomber? Why not just, say, one secret identity and his own identity?
I don't know if I want Charlie to furnish his place. I do want to know if he can cook...
I
know
he's a fictional character!
Did they ever say why it was that Farthingale needed to have two secret identies to track down the bomber?
I don't think he had secret identities to track down the bomber. I think it's just the way he was.
Oh, that's right. They had speculated that this guy wanted to be a spy so badly (and having a secret life from one wife meant that he had to be away, so why not have another wife to fill up that time) and just happened to actually track down a bad guy.
Special two-parter of Life - airing 1st part on December 3rd after the Heroes finale and the second at the regular time. Futon Critic's scripted show table says that 13 episodes were ordered. This two-parter would be episodes 10 and 11.
NO TAKING AWAY MY SHOW.
There's an article in today's NY Times that speculates that considering what the writers' strike will do to pilot season, any show that's not completely tanking will probably be renewed.
Epic -- mine was going to be rant because I'm used to discussing tv the way we do here, or I'll rant about stuff with Mom and at least she'll listen. My brother and I have different views on tv -- I think he watches The Office and that's about it, they don't go to the movies very often either. And for me tv is a hobby, which I dont think he understands. I like looking at tv on a meta level and also being fannish about it (reading fic, watching vids, etc) and that's just alien to him. So I dont' think he really undestands that I study this kinda stuff. I almost stated talking about the women in the refrigerator and how the magical negro tropes but realized I'd have to explain those and he really wouldn't care.
I just wish that he'd accept that I knew what I was talking about.
My brother's not horrible, we're just really different people. We've had conversations turn into yelling matches when we were agreeing on an issue just expressing our ideas in vastly different ways.
*hugs NYTimes speculation*
Woo-hoo about the ratings! I have to admit I feel a bit of schadenfreude about how much BW is sucking in comparison, because NBC promoted the hell out of that show and the writing on that show is just so bloody awful. Seriously, from winning the time slot at its debut to the 4th? That's gotta hurt. *cackles*
The post-Heroes boost could be a boon for this show, especially the two-parter has some juicy development in the conspiracy, which then can lure the viewers to the Wednesday slot. Hmmm, does that mean that Journeyman is going away? I haven't watched that show since the pilot, but I gather it has since improved?
