"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Ted totally rocked, and with that one action, became eight times more interesting. I mean, he's been a fine character in the past, as a foil to Charlie, but now that they've given him something interesting to do? Oh, yeah.

I'm glad Constance is back, though I dislike her new haircut. What I love, though, is how Charlie is different around her. Like most of his mask falls away, and he's suddenly a real person.

Okay, so if she's working for the D.A.'s office now, will she have to recuse herself from any case that Charlie's involved in?

Between Life and PD, Wednesday is by far the best night on television. Who would have guessed at the start of the season?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

It was a nice scene, but the clues were SO over the top obscure that once they got to the payoff I was just WTF?

The wine-year thing was a bit WTF, but if LT was a follower of the minor league baseball teams and the locations of the teams represented by the baseball caps = sites of the bombing, I can sorta imagine her making that leap, especially if she studied the casefile. My mind doesn't work like that, but she's a cop and used to deciphering clues and putting things together. And really, I'd have been happy handwaving anything because I adored seeing those three brainstorming together.

I dislike her new haircut

Urrghh. Tell me about it. I loved her old 'do, which had this very retro 40's black'n'white movie feel to it. Now, it looks like some 5 year old took gardening shears to her locks.

I think her working in DA's office will need some major fanwanking, because I cannot imagine anyone in their right minds appointing her to the task squad to bring Charlie down for Ames's murder, given the flagrant conflicts of interest. Or maybe she's not directly involved in the case. Then how would she have gotten the info about the DA's office searching Charlie's house? Hmmm.

I was damn surprised that they were able to use a song from the new Radiohead album in the funeral montage at the end. I mean, I loved the song and the montage, but I cannot recall ever hearing one of their songs used on a TV show before. Maybe the music supervisor for the show (who I understand works for KCRW) has some pull with the band? Huh.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm starting to wonder if Connie's weak-linkness is due to the actress having to share her screentime with another show, and if that interupted the thread that was originally intended for her, and now their pulling things out of their asses to make her disappear and reappear? Because in a show with all this stellar acting and character development in the scripts, she is so not in same league as everyone else.

Anyhoo.

I liked that the wine/ballcaps scene highlighted the fact that Charlie had missed out on a lot of local history. And that us being in the dark and all WTF about the connections being made was exactly where Charlie was. Neat.

Art Crawl!!!

Except that she has barely been on FNL. Barely.

I think there was one scene.

Perhaps we'll get more of the Billy Riggins story this week.

I think that they ramped up the sexual tension between her and Charlie too quickly, and now they're trying to backtrack.

Yeah, I was surprised they went there so fast (even though the actual scene was hot like burning). I almost figured the actress wasn't coming back -- maybe the whole thing's been uncertain between the strike and the actress' other committments?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

De-lurking (in the midst of being psycho busy) because I needed to vent...

I watched CRiminal Minds my brother and FSIL are in town and we ended up watching it together. As soon as Smokin' hot guy was interested in Garcia I said I hoped that it didn't turn out bad because the only time a hot guy is interested in someone who looks like Garcia he wants to use/hurt her. Because shows always go there, the only exception I can think of is China Beach when whathisname fell for Ricki Lake's character.

Thank you! I had a very similar rant last night - or wait, is yours merely an observation rather than a rant? - anyway. I figured there'd be something up when Smokin' Hot Graham paid that much attention to a girl built that much like me. Then when she brought it up with Morgan and he was such an ass, I thought maybe they would be doing something other than the obvious Hottie-Up-to-Something, Fat-Girl-Desperate-for-Hottie's-Attentions-Gets-Hurt Crap. But no. (And even on China Beach, Holly had a crush on Boonie for a loooong time before he returned the affection. Because OBVIOUSLY, no regular guy would just, y'know, be attracted to a heavy girl. Ugh).

I ended up getting in an argument with my brother because he didn't believe that I could have guessed that Hottie would have turned out bad just from him being interested in Garcia, I had to have gotten it all from the foreshadowing. It kinda ruined the evening because once again my brother can't like I actually do know what I'm talking about and has to contradict me. I wanted to argue that I know television so I do know what I'm talking about, but it felt lame and so I dropped.

Ohmigosh, someone's cloned my brother and stuck you with him!? I'm so sorry. (Suddenly very glad I don't watch much TV with my brother. **shudder** ).
