Honestly, I don't think there's a hint to be found in any of his performances. I'm not used to being caught flat-footed about an actor like this—usually I'm the one going "of course, didn't everybody know?" while people's jaws drop around me.

I don't care one way or the other, but I could see how he wouldn't want his sexuality to overshadow his performance on the show. OTOH, there's no such thing as bad publicity (not that being gay is bad, but it's publicity about the wrong thing)
Frankly, I am insulted by the idea that if women find out an actor is gay, they will no longer find him attractive, and therefore not watch the show. This is stupid, because frankly, even if he were straighter than a ruler, he wouldn't be chasing after me. I probably have a better chance of hanging out with him now, as I am a fag hag extraordinaire.

Bwah! Yeah, knowing Ben Browder is a happily married family man didn't dampen my appreciation of how he looks in leather any. As I once posted to a Luke McFarlane message board amid the wails of despair after his big announcement, if your fantasy life revolves around a star spotting you from across the Dairy Queen, falling in love at first sight, and whisking you away to live in a Malibu Dream House, how much harder is it to add disregarding his orientation to the fantasy? You're already in forest-creatures-doing-your-houshold-chores territory.
Apparently Bomer's been quietly out for ages (happily posing for pictures while making out with a former boyfriend and such), but just never made a press release about it.

Yeah, my gaydar failed me on that one. He's still very pretty. I remain convinced that John Barrowman not being bisexual is a crime against humanity, but I'm not that draconian about all good looking celebrities.
There is something about the linked post that rubs me the wrong way.
I don't think the public or the press owns a celebrity's sexuality, even if the celebrity can't really expect something (especially that they're not working at hiding) to remain secret. The tone of the post was presumptous and proprietary.
