I finally saw to the end of the episode, and Castle continues to charm. Big points to the show not just for charisma and chemistry (of which Fillion is possessing in spades), but also having the cops be not dumb, and I too like the great father/daughter relationship. It's good to see he's not just a friend to his daughter--I can never stand that single father dynamic, when they treat the daughter like a peer, either by her forced maturity or his immaturity. Castle's a goof, but he knows when to man up.

Castle = wonderful!
The name of that Castle episode was "Vampire Weekend". Heh.
Another great moment: Castle working on his (for mine is an) evil laugh.
Very excited about the Kate series getting made, I love those books.
I love the Kate Shugak books ... I just hope they don't screw it up.
And I loved Castle - in a lot of the shows, the daughter's come off as more responsible and mature than he is, but in this one he was the Good Dad ... even to his daughter's friend, not just his own daughter. But the poor egg!
Wow. HUh.
That explains some things.
Hundreds of Rigsby/Van Pelt shippers go wild.
Rookie move, Van Pelt! Everyone knows that you always let the guy leave first. If the girl leaves first, he always stands around grinning with a stupid look on his face (often checking his watch obsessively until the five minutes goes by, and only if he manages to wait that long).
Many people will be able to suss out the situation without asking, but all it takes is one buddy to say "dude, what is UP with you?" for the cat to be out of the bag.
not that that's ever happened to me or anyone I know.
