Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But later he was complimenting her on her sweater and he said he liked the stripes.

For Tony that's positively tame, though. Compare that to his behaviour when they were interviewing--he's usually sexual harassment central.

I don't think NCIS is that well written, but I do enjoy it anyway. They get into ruts with their characters. It's about damned time Abby and Tony grow up, and it's nice to see Gibbs doing less derision and headslapping. I'm optimistic about this season, but it's not based on past performance.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'd like to see Abby go back to being the competent and quirky Abby of the early series, not the breathless spaz that she became in the hands of writers who apparently didn't have a clue how to write someone like her. And if Tony never tosses off another movie reference, that would be good.

Tony's movie references have never bothered me. I've known that guy, and I haven't disliked him. His tendency to be sophomoric about women and about McGee, on the other hand--that I'd really like to lose.

NCIS:LA is the top new show of the season. Better ratings than FlashForward? But it's so...nothing particularly special! I watch it because I have a thing for the male leads and Linda Hunt, but I don't give it all my attention. Even the bromance is oddly forced.

It got a full season pickup.

When it was occasional, no. I've dated That Guy. But I remember at least one episode where like every other sentence was a movie reference, and then they just kinda stood out.

His tendency to be sophomoric about women and about McGee, on the other hand--that I'd really like to lose.

But this, yes.

So NCIS:LA already got a full-season pickup. Shouldn't be surprised.

Do you get A&E? They also do a lot.

Last night was a bad night for the CM team. They didn't save anyone's life, and didn't catch the bad guy.

Rossi was a mean, mean man to the judge, but it's not like the judge did anything to deserve decency.

I liked the final bit with the golfer (as not to spoil anyone who hasn't seen it)

ita is me. Much as I like the above-mentioned folk. It's poorly executed and even Linda Hunt is really, really phoning it in.

It got a full season pickup.

I find this oddly disappointing. Although as TV content goes...at least it's not another reality show.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Yeah, I pretty much leave NCIS:LA on because it's right after NCIS. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. I think I watched the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes and got all I wanted from this last episode.
