Camper Van Beethoven!
HA. I knew I knew that song, and then it came to me practically in the middle of the night.
This week's Life wasn't as good as last week's, I think, but we're getting actual backstory on people. Awesome.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]

Did anyone watch NCIS last night? It was sort of interesting to get back story on Gibbs, but the storyline had problems. I couldn't believe that no one would find the money in those bags.
Criminal Minds was eh. They haven't recovered yet from Patkin leaving and I don't really like the new guy. I wish they hadn't brought a new person in and just let it be the team, but I guess that wouldn't have worked with the storyline of Hotch being forced out.

I admit to being blind to plot holes when it comes to NCIS. It's one of those shows that just makes me happy to watch it. I love the characters. Gibb's backstory is great. Did you go online to see what was in the time capsule?

I said the same thing last night. I really don't like him at all. The one thing I really liked about the show was how well everyone worked together as a team. I want to like the show because I hate the idea that Patinkin could destroy it for everyone, but like you I wish that they had just left the space vacant.

I did. I agree about the plot holes, plus they can never seem to resist hitting the angst button really hard about Gibbs' tragic backstory. Yes, his kid is dead. I KNOW. Stop with the gauzy flashbacks.
Normally I can ignore plot holes in NCIS, but last night I couldn't.
The new guy has his own agenda to solve whatever tragic thing is in his past (I assume it's one that got away), but I don't care about his tragic past or his experience at Ruby Ridge. I'm trying to like him and I'm trying to remember that the show had to scrap ideas and rewrite scripts to deal with MP's decisions and cut them slack but it's kind of hard.
Criminal Minds isn't one of my all time favorite shows, but it's a decent hour of television and I prefer it to the L& Os and CSIs.
24: Day 7 postponed. (Because Fox is overhauling their schedule in light of the writers' strike.

Crud! I missed too many eps of Life before I found it.
Nina was smokin' hot and the fact that I think of her as Nina is evidence of how amazing she was in that incredible kick-ass first scene of hers in 24. Wow, I'm still amazed at the jumping out of the plane thinking about it. Ripley in the first Aliens; Linda Hamilton (who is always Linda Hamilton to me and not Sarah Connor, how weird is that) doing pull-ups in Terminator II; Nina in 24; Gina Gershon in, er, the one with the good jazz and Peter Berg which name I always forget... ANYWAY, she was very good playing a softspoken but tough woman last night. I might be able to get over calling her Nina in time. Okay, that kind of loving? totally went over my head. Eww.
I'm watching Without a Trace and Principal Flutie was just on. It's a Without A Trace/ CSI crossover tonight.
Principal Flutie was just on.
That's where I'd seen him!
