I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Tonight on Monk, and I think last week's Psych, though I'm not sure if that's what I was watching when I started counting. I'm pretty sure there's a seven-pointed star painted on the door of my local police station, also, I'll check next time I'm over there - it's got the closest no-fee ATM to me, so I'm there fairly often.

(eta: that is to say, last night's Monk that I watched tonight)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I could have sworn the one on Monk had 6 points. But I didn't count Psych.

When I image google sheriff's star it comes up with a bunch of five-pointed ones too, which I'm really sure I never see on TV.

I counted several times on Monk because it looked so much like it ought to be six-points. Which is what made me wonder about the seven-ness, it seems like it would be less natural to draw or design a mold for a seven-pointer when 5 and 6 pointed stars are so easy. But that might just be what I'm used to, I don't know.

I think the badge on Deadwood was also 7-pointed, because I know I have pondered this before but not quite enough to actually find anything out, and that seems like the context for my prior pondering.

From this pic it looks like Deadwood was a six pointer.

I guess I didn't count on Monk after all. I am of course blanking on the other shows I thought I counted on too.

Yup, looks like I am remembering that wrong. Might have been a previous season of Eureka that caught my eye.

Oh, hey, a 5-pointer on Lost: [link]

When I google us marshall badge I get a lot of five pointers--plotwise was there a us marshall on Lost?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Yes. Marshal Edward Mars had Kate in custody on Oceanic flight 815. IIRC he was the source of the pistol Sawyer used to shoot the polar bear -- and the marshal.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

unfortunately, with Lost and all the flashbacks and flash forwards, I think nearly every single occupation has been featured on that show. They have marijuana farmers, con-men, priests, marshalls, police.

I was going to say that I don't remember college professors being in the show, but now that I think about it, there were college professors in "Lost" also. I don't remember a plumber, but since I'm in the middle of a rewatch, I'm sure a plumber will show up too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ita! Criminal Minds on the train tonight! Speaking of trauma for poor Reid. (Which I realize you were doing like a week ago, but still.)

I know! I just started watching this episode and he just volunteered to go on. I foresee pain. I've never seen this one before, so much excited.
