That looked like the Waldorf--I stayed there back 1997 (sister had half-off room rates; great location, but just like anything expensive, you had fewer free amenities than you would at a Best Western), and it looked like the lobby.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.
Even so, they were still thwarted by thief guy having his mom emcee the auction.
Thief guy needs to be a recurring character. He's a lot of fun!
