Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

When did detective shows start using story arcs and continuing character elements? I remember the shows from the 70s, where everything was a standalone, except for recurring characters like Wo Fat on Hawaii 50 (loved Wo Fat) and such.

Didn't Magnum PI have a few arcing elements? Or did they just do occasional multi-parters?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Wasn't Wiseguy the first to do it?

I think HSB was up an running prior to Wiseguy.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

HSB was definitely on-air before Wiseguy. I know I watched it (HSB) in my college dorm around 1985, and I think Wiseguy dates from the late '80s/early '90s.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I read Beverly to mean she wouldn't get DVDs. They are being made.

Woo! No, if they're made I will definitely have them, if I have to sell a kidney.

It was just that as far as I knew, TNT didn't dvd its original shows.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

John Rogers has been soliciting for extras ideas (I want fight choreography details), so I'm pretty sure they're a go.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

TNT didn't dvd its original shows.

Leverage is produced by the same people who did The Librarian movies, and those definitely made it to DVD.

This should probably go in BS, but I'm unsubbed. ita--I just saw an ad for I Am Omega--an Omega Man remake thing starring Mark Dacascos. I must have been living on Mars to have missed this. Premieres this Saturday at 9:00 on SciFi. Or SyFy, whatever.

I Am Omega--an Omega Man remake

I wonder if they paid Richard Matheson for that.
