All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

Castle's still fun. Loved the scene where he spins a yarn about the murder. So what if it reminded me of "They made him watch... the only way to deal with that kind of darkness...is to become it" from Bushwhacked, Fillion tells a good scary story.

Why no, I didn't just move this from Cable Drama!

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Just watched the first two episodes of "Castle" back to back, and I have to admit, I'm fond. It's a fun show.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm still liking it. It's not great procedural, it'll never be an L&O, but it's fun. And I could watch/listen to Fillion read a phone book. And I'm loving the give and take between all the detectives. With the "I thought you went commando" and the "it depends on the season" kind of stuff. They've got some good snark developing.

not great procedural

I'm yelling at the tv that they should have been looking at *all* the elevator footage from the get-go (how did they miss B-b-b-bianca?).

It's like making the CBI team on The Mentalist extra dumb in order to make Jane look amazing.

Not javachik

I can haz my Tivo again! It's finally hooked up again after, what, 1.5 years? Anyway, I was trying to find Leverage and getting no love, so it's nice to have an answer as to why from this thread. I'm sorry I missed it. It sounded interesting from the comments herein.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think they did, but with blinkers on--they had decided that the killer used the stairs, so they must have thought they didn't see the murderer on tape.

Exactly, and they knew she worked there, so she was no big deal until they realized the timing and circumstances that particular day.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that the scene where Castle tells his story is my favorite from the episode. I do think it improved over last week - it felt much less frantic.
