It's actually a very valid question, in his situation. I'm impressed that they're exploring some of the complexities of the situation. It's not just, "Angela's sleeping with a woman, hubba hubba!" (though you can see Hodgins' mind skipping to interesting pictures on a regular basis).
I liked how Brennan said, "Oh, I wasn't paying attention to that part." It's so her, relationship issues don't interest her, especially when there's a fascinating body around.
And I do like Miss Julian. "She puts people in Federal prison. I think she likes it."
I enjoy the relationships in Bones, the characters and personalities. Makes up for the times I have to look away from the screen.
Interesting that Life and Criminal Minds both had that cops as family thing.
