I admit, I was utterly surprised by Sweets/Daisy. I'm actually kind of pleased Sweets is getting some. He's growing on me.
Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
Re: Life, I can't believe that Ben was so freaking stupid. Some guy claims that he killed the girl with a knife with his fingerprints on it, and he just gives the guy money? Ridiculous. Also, I was annoyed with how calm he was with the police with the "bodyguard" in the kitchen. I would have bought it more if he was really jumpy, then tried to pass it off as being nervous about the girl's death.
Also, was the thing about the plastic surgery at the end really true, or were they just yanking his chain/trying to get him to confess?
I admit, I was utterly surprised by Sweets/Daisy. I'm actually kind of pleased Sweets is getting some. He's growing on me.
I'm loving his increasing annoyance with everyone dropping by his office without an appointment.
Vortex, I couldn't decide if it was true or they were yanking his chain. . . or even if it were possible so that they had to be yanking his chain.
L&O: did not like.
I don't understand how they could remove a tattoo and reveal a completely obscured one.
Sumi, what didn't you like about L&O? New detective?
I don't understand how they could remove a tattoo and reveal a completely obscured one.
Isn't tattoo removal really skin removal? Just removing layers of skin until you get to the undyed porthion. Theoretically, you could just remove the top layers until you got to the original tattoo.
L&O: I liked the Jack and Michael stuff a lot. The Pixies T-Shirt chick, although very pretty, was a terrible actress and that spoiled the beginning for me. The dialogue in L&O is so straightforward that you need really good actors to add some depth, and she wasn't one.
That really makes me miss Homicide. Of course, looking at linoleum...
Which of course on Homicide would sound like:
"Who the hell says linoleum anymore?",
"That's a deep question there, Big Man. Existential, in a primitive sort of way."
"Kay, is he calling me stupid? Because a man with his instincts should know I hate that."
"I don't think so, Stanley, huh? But that's not lineoleum, that's pergo. Bloody pergo, but I still recognize it." Etc. etc. They had a whole riff one time about a davino that I still love BECAUSE it was so rambly and pointless. Like the stuff people really say, that is to say, not straightforward.
Maybe I mean less that I didn't like it and more that it was unsettling and because L&O is so cut and dried . . . it's like they raise issues that they might not bother with again.
