Boston in the 70s would have been interesting, what with the busing controversy (I figure with Kelly, it would have been Boston if it wasn't LA, but lord knows I wouldn't trust him to get the history right), but I agree New York has a very strong identity. And it was definitely a less than ideal place in 70s.

Right? I mean, so new and different, but, besides the still (but less) jarring Tidwell scenes (perhaps less so because of KAREN FUCKING DAVIS!) and BOBBY! and CONSPIRACY WALL!
But those are easy to identify things, there were so many smaller things that seemed back on target.
And Ted and Dani in a scene together, finally?!!!
I really really loved how the professor's (warden's) involvement came back around to Charlie, and how the case illuminated information only available on the NBC website (him turning Constance down the first time and going back into solitary).

I can't lie, maybe I'm playing right into what the show wants, but I'm starting to like Tidwell. Sure, he's kind of slimy, but I don't think he's a bad guy. I'm guessing we probably won't be seeing a lot more of him awkwardly trying to flirt with Dani.
