Bah. I just bought the 4th season of House, and it doesn't have subtitles. Does anyone have the American DVDs? Do they have subtitles?

This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
Did anyone else catch the name of one of the guest characters?
... Inspector Cate Pritchard,...
Heh!
They're showing the season finale of Bones again, and I'm all teary again. Bones pointing out the flawed logic and Zach immediately agreeing to cooperate, and the speed with which Cam figured out why Booth and Bones were there--great bits.
Poor Zach-- Poor Bones. I was all weepy too. (Blows my mind that Eric Millegan is 34-- he does youth and naivete so beautifully and of course with that baby face-- ) And the interaction between Booth and Sweets, Booth telling Sweets to let Bones have this one. ::bawls::
Zach realizing he was wrong--and how horribly wrong . . .
Curse you, writer's strike! It had to come this season, with Zach on Bones and Amber over on House!
So, those who had a chance to re-watch Bones - did you see anything that hinted that Zack was the apprentice or was it a total asspull?
If I'm reading the timeline correctly, Zach was recruited during the mid-season hiatus--which was right before teh strike. However, he does show unexpected incompetencies during Max Keenan's trial, which could be signs of distraction, and it's obvious from the beginning of the season that being in Iraq really unsettled him. It could be seen as an asspull, but there's also the element, when it's revealed, of "Of course, he was so messed up by Iraq he was easy pickings." And he was always looking for approval from Booth and others. It was Sweets or Miss Lillian who said it was the classic weaker personality overwhelmed by a stronger personality.
That's part of the tragedy, everyone at the end suddenly seeing how they contributed to what happened. Hodgins couldn't have known that Zach was taking his rants at face value and accepting everything, Angela was focused on dealing with her husband, Booth was always weirded out by Zach, likewise Cam, and Brennan had her father's and brother's criminal problems to worry about. Gormagon probably scoped out the situation at the Jeffersonian and saw Zach as the perfect target.
It could have been set up in a neater fashion, but I see it as perfectly, tragically plausible.
It's so weird to me that the Closer has totally glossed over the whole Brenda using Fritz to get ahead herself and thereby making him vulnerable in his own job thing.
I was surprised when his ultimatum involved her setting a wedding date.

To someone else, I hope.
I love her as a character, but I wouldn't come within five miles of Brenda in a romantic relationship.
