Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
I probably bitched about this before, but I'm watching a rerun of bones and I am once again annoyed that the bracelets, belt and headband of Brennan's costume are silver. They are supposed to be gold!!!!!
But how wonderful is that spin she did at the end?

This is, to date, about the only ep of Bones that I've seen. Unless she makes a habit of wearing the outfit.

it is lovely. and I can kind of even forget that her headband has some wierd round symbol on it instead of a red star.
And I loved the scene where she pulls this cannon of a handgun and Booth asks her where she had it hidden.
Amber from House
She gets around, and she's always good. I was all, Hey that's Amber! while watching Mad Men. She's pregnant and smoking constantly in the 'burbs. I'd be a little more amused if that wasn't why they think my late cousin was born retarded: the aunt smoked like a fiend during her pregnancy.
I think that was one of the more culture shocky things in season 1. (The smoking - all the time particularly with the pregnant neighbor.)
L&O:CI - I REALLY would have liked to have seen the other half of this episode. I mean when you say that "mother kills for child" - mostly you think she'll get off - but this was a variation on the Texas Cheerleader thing where the mother killed to get her kid into the right pre-school so that he wouldn't be the outsider that she was. The trial would/could have been interesting.
They used to at least show bits of hearings or trials, but I believe Courtney Vance is no longer with the show.
I don't they go to trial on a lot of things because the actual case they have is so flimsy. A good lawyer could blow these things out of the water. That's probably why there's always the big "You got me, OK? I did it!" scene. I want to see a perp with the guts to say, "Prove it in a court of law".
