"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ginger - I think you and I are the only ones here who love that show.

I love it too. I don't always watch it first run, but I do love it when I catch an episode.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I record it, because I enjoy it and it's one of those I want when I just want to absorb into something without really engaging my brain. So I won't make an effort to see it, but I'm annoyed if it's not on my Tivo.

Look, it makes sense in my world, okay?

Art Crawl!!!

I watched csi:NY's season finale On Demand tonight. 1st: oh, great. EVIL CLIFFHANGER. 2nd: Adam Baldwin! And given the EVIL CLIFFHANGER - we could see him in the season premiere too!

(Assuming that his duties from Chuck allow him the time.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In crossover news, I'm currently watching the L&O:CI where Amber from House is playing a teacher who is sleeping with her student -- and his father.

Really? I've got one of the 7,000 Olivia D'abo episodes. Feh.

But I have my signal back! Whoo-hoo! TV, never forsake me again.

What channel are you watching it on? I thought today was All Mike Logan, All the Time on USA.

ETA: Though the two-parter with both teams is also on today. Is she in those? (The only L&O: CI eps I've never seen.)

Yeah, weirdly they threw in the occasional Doren ep. False advertising! I'm watching the two-parter now, even though I've seen it before, and it's already making me feel dirty.

Watching CSI Miami for no good reason I can think of. This show. Damn. From the crimes themselves to the way they just intuit the most unlikely of motives and circumstances. It is just. so. bad. And that's before you factor in the "I smell a fart" school of acting (TM Joey Tribbiani) they seem so fond of.

brillig

I watched a couple of episodes of "Cold Case" last night, and that show was good. The first one was a woman who disappeared the night Orson Welles ran his "War of the Worlds" broadcast. I loved the flashbacks, there was actually a real storyline there.

The series doesn't suffer from "guest star with speaking lines must be the perp or an accomplice"-itis that nearly every CSI/L&O variant suffers from. A lot of those shows sacrifice the mystery in favor of continuing whatever ridiculous soap opera complications they're running the regular characters through. I'm wondering if this is a difference between US-based and Canadian/British-based shows (I think "Cold Case" is Canadian).
