First Wilson making that very firm statement that he wanted House to risk his life for Amber (and House forcing him to voice that decision out loud, even though it was him that offered to do it in the first place), and then Wilson almost losing both of them. gah! (Oh, I know we wouldn't lose House, but I at least expected them to drag out that uncertainty until next season).

I still can't believe it was Zach. It all felt too rushed and forced. I knew it wasn't Hodgins, but I hated him being a suspect.
Considering I wasn't sure I was going to like Bones and missed half of the end of season one and the beginning of season two, that show really grew on me. Somehow, I just had a feeling when Zack came back from Iraq, because he wasn't "suitable", there would be more fallout to it.

Honestly, I think I would have quit watching the show if it had been Hodgins. I can't quite articulate why it would have been beyond the pale for me, but it would have been.
I wouldn't have been happy with it being Sweets either, but I could have kept watching, I think.

Indeed. When a bomb like that drops, you should be able to look back and see clues earlier in the season.
It's going to be interesting to see who they (or if they) replace him with next season. We've gotten used to this team. Damn, I'm bummed. They're messing with my Monday night line-up. It was bad enough when House canned his crew, now we have to go through the hunt for Zack's replacement, again!
Poor, poor Wilson. And Amber figuring it out on her own.
I think Wilson just won the permanent Woobie award
Bones: They'll probably replace Zack with the guy who found the mistake during Max' trial.
House: So what symptom did House see? Her taking the drugs? And he suspected she'd been so badly hurt that it would poison her?
What is with the desaturated bus being used for death/near-death imagery?
The only example I can name is ER, but I know I've seen it other times.

You ever been stuck on a city bus for hours? Believe me, you'd be ready for death too.
