I’m liking Magpie Murders. Only two episodes in, but good so far. I did read the book, and I remember some things but not everything, so that’s interesting (I remember who did it in “real life” but not in the manuscript, for example) and I’m pleased with the adaptation as an adaptation, fwtw

Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
I have relatives I haven't seen as much as Lennie Briscoe.
Ha!
I'd been looking forward to the Will Trent show, since I'd been reading the books from the start. I saw the second one and kept thinking how different it was from the book. I may not continue with it.
I've been enjoying Will Trent. For me he has a bit of an Agent Pendergast vibe that sucked me in right away.
I've been watching a lot of cop shows from the 70s and 80s like Quincy, Hunter, and Kojak. It's a little disturbing to see how much these "heroes" were sexist assholes.
I was watching some 70s and 80s game shows, and ditto. And when we had Hulu a couple of years ago, we watched St. Elsewhere. Yikes.
Justified is back.
I happened on a Columbo marathon recently and yeah. Poker Face , which is wonderful, draws on it heavily. (Not that part ha ha.)
One of these days I’m gonna have to binge some Columbo. I don’t know that I ever really watched it but I vaguely like it based on what I’ve absorbed from the zeitgeist and ether.
Ooh, Justified!
