Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
That's right.
We call Med Chicago Malpractice.
I like Lethal Weapon. I haven't seen all the episodes but I really like the actor who plays Riggs (he played Mr Quinn on Leverage) and also Damon Wayons is good as Roger.
I love the actress who plays Trish and there is a nice relationship between Trish and Roger.
Riggs still has the pain of his dead wife, but it's changed a bit. There's more of a relationship between him and the therapist and there's a chemistry there but they aren't playing it for romance (at least that I can tell).
Overall I'm enjoying it.
I watched the season finale of Lethal Weapon. I really enjoyed it. There was maybe a bit of things I thought were predictable but the acting was really good. There's some really good non verbal acting.
I adore Clayne Crawford as Riggs and, in a good way, I think his hair deserves a best supporting credit.
The blend of humor and moral issues has been really enjoyable too.
Damon Wayans makes a perfect Roger.
I remember liking the movies, and generally end up preferring 'first seen' editions, but the tv Lethal Weapon is definitely my favorite.
Here's a sentence I never thought I'd type about Elementary: Meat Loaf looks pretty damn good for his age.
He set the baseline low early on.
beekaytee--I agree with all of it.
The movies are big over the top things with too many characters in the sequels and no real need for subtle acting. And the tv series gives characters more space -- I really hope they are able to bring back Leo Getz I think Thomas Lennon did a really great job.
There are all kinds of little moments, like when Leo is telling Roger about how much guts Trish had for quitting.
Or the interplay between Crawford and Jordana Brewster.
The scene in the entry when Roger has to tel Riggs they won't be partners and then Trish walks in and says he's family . Or the room service, when whatshername sent up Cheez Whiz omelet and taer tots and Riggs was kind of feeling at ease and the guy mentions his wife.
And then there is stuff, like in the station after they caught the guy stalking Brewster's character (I forget her name too) and Riggs is kind needing Roger about the shot and where he was really aiming
Oh geez. Now I have to add Lethal Weapon to the To Watch List. Oh well, I'll put that one in the slot I had reserved for Iron Fist.
