brillig

I always wonder how many defense attorneys say "Much of the investigation was conducted with the help of an untrained civilian, we challenge everything Richard Castle was involved in." Which is why these shows depend on confessions or a dead perp, but I'd love to see a couple of trials. Wasn't there a trial in one of the recent seasons? I've stopped watching.

There was a Bones episode where the perp refused to confess and there wasn't enough physical evidence to make a good case, and Booth was telling Bones that even though the odds of conviction were low, the family knew the truth. It was very refreshing.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I just caught up with last week's Elementary, and John Noble is scary as shit without doing anything other than sitting in a chair.

It's too bad his role on Sleepy Hollow kind of degenerated over S2, because he was legit scary in S1. But he's more than made up for it in Elementary.

Also, Joan is really getting in over her head and I worry.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

Joan is really getting in over her head

It doesn't matter, because her wardrobe is fabulous.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is true.

I would really like Ginger to drop in and tell me how prevalent allergies to mountain lions are.

Random: this week's episode of Grantchester is the only episode of Mystery to ever make me cry.

Oh wow, sumi! I haven't caught up, and I also missed the first two episodes of this season- they aren't on pbs.org anymore. I has a sad. But episode 3 made me cry.

Also, the two show I have been catching up on have been Happy Valley and Grantchester, which feature James Norton as two very different people.

Yes- Happy Valley is on Netflix- It is pretty bleak, but I really love it. I have a soft spot for crime dramas starring women, especially complicated not young women.
