Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.

This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

In some ways I can sort of imagine Moreland having a sort of amused respect for Joan, particularly since her motivation is to protect Sherlock (and herself).

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Finally watched last week's Elementary!

I LOVED how Sherlock mocked the plot of a comic book where the hero plunged to his death over a waterfall, locked in the arms of his nemesis.

HILARIOUS.

I like how Joan always insists that its her BROTHER who is a geek.

Yeah, you KNOW she was just as geeky as he was.

Sherlock's comment about how superheroes should be dead from cancer -- I had a similar conversation with Holli at the DC F2F.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

HILARIOUS.

I alluded to this on your FB last week. I could not spoil that for you!

Oh, god DAMN this was a good episode this week. (I mean the interpersonal stuff with Sherlock and Fiona, because at this point the procedurals are just extra for me. Though it was just fine.)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The Catch: much more fun than I thought. Banal premise, but great execution. (Fiance of PI turns out to be con-man who took her for everything - her personal savings and also security information about her top clients. And then she gets her money back and more. With him now having incentive to try and get her again.

So now we have a continuing battle between con-man and detective, where I presume they will both keep hitting each other in vulnerable places. With underlying sexual tension.

But what I hate is that that he is shown ans still loves her and really strong hints are there that she still loves him, even if she won't admit it to herself. I know Blacklist managed to sort of pull that off successfully. But waspand was a minor character, and clearly NOT the main charactrs equal. Tome, the well-matched opponents with sexual tension works well. I kind of feel like twue wuv, in this will spoil the fun. I think it works better if they are never reconciled. (Overcome by passion and having occasional sex, and occasionally being forced into uneasy alliance might be OK, though not too soon, but don't want those crazy kids to get back together permanently.)

Oh and is anyone watching Rosewood. Not the greatest ever but a fun show. Warning: this show is not only sentimental. It is unabashedly and in-your-face sentimental. The writers like large dogs, small kittens, rainbows, sunsets, ice cream and weddings. And they want to tell you about it. Something about the open and shameless nature of the sentimentality makes it non-cringe-worthy for me, though I can't promise you the same. It somehow seems neither sugary or saccharine to me. Not it is not somehow "real". It is just that the main character is an optimist and the writers have done worldbuilding so that the optimist is right in his extreme optimism - at least most of the time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am catching up on Criminal Minda, and Shemar Moore leaving made me cry a little.

For/because ita.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

If anyone watched Motive on NBC, this season is airing on USA on Friday nights. One episode has aired so far.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I really hope this is the last season for Castle. It needs to be over so Nathan can do other things.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Agreed. I think they all need to do other things.
