Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think I dropped Bones in the middle of a cliffhanger a couple of seasons ago. Yet somehow I caught word of a meta reason for that character death. He's going off to direct a movie or something.

This Castle opener felt similar to the S4 opener in tone. Whatever this arc is, it may span the season.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

That Castle episode really annoyed me. The fact that everyone was so convinced that there was no other explanation than him faking his kidnapping felt like really heavy-handed false drama.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I did expect the smug FBI guy to be in on it.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Hated it too. Also I hated that at the end, Castle who has been kidnapped, drugged is less traumatized than Beckett. It is not as though not remembering the time he was away meant it had no effect on him. Also it plays with the whole chemistry that made the show watchable. Castle proved in the long run tougher than Beckett initially gave him credit for, but it was also never in doubt that she was the tougher of the two. They have been undermining that in the last few seasons, but this ep through it out the freakin window. It may have been justified by the plot, but it was not earned - if that distinction makes sense.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Shrug. I liked it, I want to see where they're going.

Compassionately intolerant

I watched the Castle premiere because my bff loves it and I have lasting loyalty to Nathan but, eh. I just couldn't hang with it.

I'm not sure why, but I'm increasingly satisfied with recaps over watching actual episodes.

brillig

I've got the first 3 seasons of Castle on DVD and I watch them regularly. Things went weird in Season 4, so I don't think I'll buy it. I may buy the episode with the 30s flashbacks and the diamond necklace.

With Castle, I'm fine with just being along for the ride. It may not be the best show on television, but I like it. I like the characters.

I don't find any fault in the character choices in this episode. It's the fact that they've already done the "how well do you really know him" bit before, with 3XK, that took some of the wind out of the sails this time.

I believe the showrunner for this season wrote many of the 3XK episodes, so I'm expecting that'll play into whatever's going on. Which just doesn't really interest me. I've got the season opener on DVR, but I haven't watched it yet.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

well, we get to see how Criminal Minds is going ... with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Then followed by Stalker ... which seems appropriate.
