That's just TV, though. I mean... 24?
For me it's all about the visual style and the mix of dark humor with things that are deeply disturbing.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]

This. I mean, whatever else is going on, it's nightmarishly beautiful most of the time.
Yeah, NCIS NOLA was painful.
Yep. Not looking forward to part 2. Also, it'd be nice if the team wasn't overwhelmingly white. I was preparing to punch people in the crotch for introducing a black woman as an FBI agent only to kill her off until CCH Pounder showed up
Was Castle on last night?
Rerun.
Thanks.
Lisbon-Jane interaction on Mentalist had a nice Nick and Nora vibe. Dennis Abbot seems to have totally given up trying to control Jane and is just going with it, no matter how outrageous "it" is. I hope Abbot is just giving Jane rope, and has not really turned into a cream puff, rather. Dramatically, I think Jane *needs* at least one opponent up the hierarchy from him. And I'm glad Lisbon is now dating someone. Jane has had an absurd amount of time to make his move. Maybe some competition will do the trick; if not Teresa is overdue to move on.

Oh the fic that has been committed on this very topic. As staunch a J/L shipper as I am, I am also beginning to think that Jane's head has yet to have sufficient percussion therapy and needs more sense knocked into it. I'd almost kinda sorta like to see Cho somehow perceive that Jane is making Lisbon unhappy enough that he feels the need to say something. Ok. So therein lies fic as well. Sometimes I think I don't care if they each sleep with scores of other people so long as they sail off into the sunset together. Sometimes I think I want them to have an ambiguous ending, one that is left to the viewers' imagination. More recently I am beginning to to think Jane's putzed around enough, too bad so sad, if he doesn't get Lisbon.
Is anyone else watching Crisis? That was Jonathan Adams in the last episode, right? The character isn't listed on imdb, but I'm pretty sure it was him. That guy has got serious range. I want him to guest on all my shows.
