All is well that ends in pizza.

I think Castle writers are shunning the over-used "misunderstandings break up a couple" routine.

If they keep playing it well, emulating The Thin Man and Hart to Hart would be a breath of fresh air.

Ironically to your question, Connie, this week did end up with a bit about Beckett's mother, at the end.

Good lord, she's actually going to take on a man with two marriages under his belt? An interesting twist. When did they drop The Hunt For Beckett's Mom's Killer? last season or this one?

Pretty much the beginning of this season it was put on the very back burner.

What's a good summary of what happened last season?

All is well that ends in pizza.

As far as the marriages are concerned, he and his ex wife (wives?) made a case that he's not the man he was when he married before.

I may need to review some recaps before I can answer that, it all melds together.

Oh, good, they addressed the point. My respect for the writers goes up.

I can tell you that Castle's long-lost father turns up twice.

Played by James Brolin.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No, that is dead like Beckett's mother, thank goodness.

Last night's episode was somewhat related to Beckett's mother's death.
