Toddson, despite the soapy aspects of House, it's the diagnostic aspect of it that puts it in the procedural category. I think it's about 60/40 diagnostic/soap. Unlike Gray's Anatormy, which is more like 70/30 soap/medical. We don't cotton to the soaps here, that's Minearverse. *g*

Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
Yeah, we can criticize the stupid diagnoses and the Victim of the Week. Plus make much of House/Wilson.
Homicide: LOTS
Before I translated the acronym, my first response was, "Yeah, true, dead bodies everywhere."
"Where are the hopeful moments?" "Dude, the show's called Homicide
Is House a procedural?
Interestingly enough, yes. David Shore and Paul Attanasio conceived it as a procedural with germs as the suspects.
Also from upthread: I've been a little skeeved, if amused, by Hodgins and Angela carrying on at work. It *is* terribly unprofessional, not to mention I don't even want to think about going for a pencil in a supply room where that's been going on.
I know! There are something like 8 or 10 marriages that've come from our workplace and most of the time, most of the people don't know even know the parties are dating until they announce their engagement!
Cuddy's lines were great, starting with the Wilson chalkmark on the floor. Also? (paraphrasing) I assume by "sleeping with" that you mean talk with? House: no, etc. Cuddy: Well this hospital administrator has to go "sleep with" the accounting department now.
Also, she's got a new haircut. It looks great.

I'm poking around to see what, exactly, a mentalist is. Apparently it's someone with keen powers of observation (plus Uri Geller and his magic bending spoons, harrumph). New show The Mentalist: [link]
The other pilot mentioned sounds interesting.
Riley Finn's sidekick Graham (Bailey Chase) was on L&O:SVU tonight. He played a closeted gay football player whose signifcant other was murdered. He in turn was very publically outed (by the NYPD, no less) and charged with the murder. Drama ensued.
Thanks! I was trying to figure out what I knew him from.
Yeah, he's got a recurring role on Saving Grace on TNT.
Aha! I, too, was trying to figure out where I knew him from, and had residual good feelings about, and it was Saving Grace. (Gosh, I'd forgotten about that series!) He's a hunk.
FAREWELL JESSE L. MARTIN tonight (wait, or tomorrow night? Whichever).
