Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I only watched my first ep last night. Wasn't the first one because I was at Hulu's mercy but I liked it enough to watch more.

Eta: and I adore James Spader. His voice is kryptonite.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

You know, I like Tricia Helfer, and I really wanted to like her new show, but it's a bunch of crap filled with tired tropes and unbelievable story lines. And Marc Blucas has unfortunate facial hair.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's kind of a relief? I feel like it was being presented as something I ought to like, but also that I would not like it

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I liked the first couple but this last one was painful.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Yes, definitely a disappointment (and up against 2 other shows I like, I suppose this becomes "if one of the others has a re-run, then I guess maybe").

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Castle: I'm a dick, I guess, but I read the "Formulaic" comment and said "Lately?" But I guess it's not fair to comment on something I saw five times and never really liked because I figured out the reveal in three minutes. Oh, and the precinct coatrack kept stealing scenes from Stana Katic. (/bitchy critic)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I continue to enjoy Castle - because I like the characters, and always have. Even when the show isn't at it's best it sort of feels like checking in with friends.

ETA: It doesn't hurt that I have a huge crush on Nathan Fillion. So there is really no objectivity in my enjoyment of the show as a procedural.

And once they eased up the obsession on the Kate's mother thing it's a lot better. It's good background tv.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Zoe: I wasn't planning on the dirt kissin', sir.

Wash: I wouldn't stand for it anyway, Captain. Jealous man like me.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I think I might be sharing a brain with WindSparrow.

(the interactions between the boys are what I love most. Both Ryan and Esposito measuring Castle's fame made this week's episode worth it.)
