In terms of Elementary. Maybe it was just me, I but got the feeling he was over-propuncing everything in this episode. Saying "Enter" or maybe even "Entre" with too much emphasis towards the end, and in general pronouncing words with more emphasis, using French versions more and so on. At any rate, I would swear it was an episode-wide thing. Maybe, since the current subplot is his realizing that being an asshole is not just a loveable tic, but can cause real harm, the director asked him to do that to remind the audience throughout of his problem. Again, it could just be me.

SherlocK, Season 3: Whitefont, as Not in USA yet.
Sherlock's parents must be in disguise as muggles.
You know that those were Benedict's actual parents ?
I did not!
Sherlock seems to be going for the meta this year.
Yes, it was a very "the script is coming from inside the Internet" sort of episode.
When is that doing it's US premiere? My DVR only goes about a week out.
Frank, January 19th.
Thanks, sj!
Sherlock, whitefonted:
Oh, Moffat. Look at this brilliant episode of a show you didn't fuck up entirely. Good for you! I'm not bitter at all and now can almost forgive you for the what-the-hell-was-it you did with the other show you run, asshole.
Or not. At least not yet.
Anyway, yes, meta. And wonderful. And OMG, Cumberbatch as Holmes is a sight for eyes that never even knew they're sore. And harsh with the portrayal of the fans.
But damn, it was good, and Moffat didn't blew it.
