Oh yeah, there are so many great visual jokes. And Star Wars references.

Which begs the question: Where will you find the most Star Wars references?
Spaced?
Venture Brothers?
Robot Chicken?
Family Guy?
Kevin Smith movies?

Kurosawa.
Kurosawa.
Heh. Or the WWII aviation films he stole all the dogfight bits. I can't remember the title but it was about the use of a bomb that skipped along the water so it could blow up a dam. That was the basis for the attack on the Death Star scenes.
Tom ftw.
I was just reading an interview with the Spaced crew on AICN and they pointed out all the special guest stars in the commentary. I hadn't even realized, it's like a whole other show waiting for me in the special features! Here it is.

The Dam Busters. Great movieI It is being remade, with Peter Jackson producing. [link]
The Dam Busters? "It's this movie about guys who bust dams. I don't know what it's called."
The last Venture Brothers t-shirt (spoilery for last episode).
I want it!
Well, dammit, today was supposed to be the last day to get the t-shirt, but orders are already closed. ::shakes shaky fist Venture Industries-ward::
Slumber nut!
I haven't subbed to this thread due to the fact that I just don't watch TV comedy, at least not since Phil Hartman died and I stopped watching NewsRadio. However, I do have to add to the lovelovelove of Spaced. I bought the DVDs after I watched the eps on BBCA back in July, and they were so worth the cost. I've already watched the two eps with Tires several times (love the Clubbing ep from Series 1, and his ep in Series 2 introduced Sophie, which is a big plus), and I just adore the friendship between Tim and Mike (they hold hands! How sweet!).
Actually, I think that Mike might be my favorite character, or at least a close second to Daisy. He's such a sweetheart of a guy, naive and yet a believable military hardass, as well. He lets Daisy and Twist dress him up, bakes scones, and then blindfolds Marcia to test her abilty to reassemble a gun. What's not to love?
