Our wings are not tired.

I shall hang in there then. I am on a mission to have more comedy in life! I do try and not judge shows before giving them time to develop the characters. Books I give 50 pages, shows I go 5-6, unless there is something truly unacceptable.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I have no tolerance for Roland and am so excited on rewatch when I can just skip past him. But stick it out -- characters start evolving.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Plei said "WATCH THIS"; a couple of episodes in I texted back "WHY?" "Just stay with it."

Moira stopped annoying me after I read an interview with Catherine O'Hara, in which she talks about her glee at playing characters who have no clue how they come across to other people. Needing to have done supplemental reading to understand what an actor's doing usually means I go find something else to watch, but by then I was so in love with Stevie and David (and Patrick, when he showed up) that I decided to stick around.

Dana, I also reach for the magic skippy button while feeling a little sad about it - I like Chris Elliott in other things!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I eventually grew to like even Roland - not that I want to spend time with him but I wish him well

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd never feel sad about skipping Chris Elliot; he's annoyed me mightily ever since his David Letterman days.

Has anyone else been watching Call Me Kat? It's an adaptation of the British comedy Miranda and I thought I would pass based on that, but Mayim Bialik is just delightful as the lead.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

They remade Miranda? I must admit, that is not the first show I would think would translate to the American sensibility.

It might not; I haven't heard any press or ratings news about it. The lead breaks the fourth wall more often than Bugs Bunny, which is something sitcom audiences here probably aren't used to, though perhaps Deadpool has acclimated them.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I've seen a few episodes. It's a little precious for me (and the laugh track is awful), but if they can settle into it a little more, it could be good.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I feel like it started out annoyingly broad, but it seems to be settling in a bit.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I finished S3 of Schitt's Creek last night, and Moira doesn't annoy me any more. Mostly.

I want to binge-watch my way through the next 3 seasons as fast as possible, but then again I don't, because I don't want it to end.
